Group Protests Liberal Bias outside Major News Networks: ‘TELL THE TRUTH!’

Back in the Old West, settlers used to circle the wagons to protect themselves from danger. Over a hundreds years later, a media watchdog group is using trucks to circle media outlets to bring attention to media bias.


According to CNSNews.com, four billboard trucks bearing the message “Stop the Liberal Bias, Tell the Truth!” began circling the New York headquarters of ABC, CBS, NBC, and the New York Times last week. And there’s no plan to stop any time soon: the trucks will repeat the gesture eight hours every weekday for the next four weeks.


The trucks are part of the “Tell the Truth!” campaign run by the Media Research Center, a watchdog group that analyzes the media for liberal bias. MRC is the parent company of CNSNews.com.





L. Brent Bozell III, president of the MRC said the goal is simple: get the outlets to stop pushing a specific agenda and tell the truth.
The “liberal media news networks” need to report the facts about “massive growth in government and its control over our lives, and about spending, deficits and debt,” Bozell told CNSNews.com. “They also need to tell the truth about the efforts to turn our country into a European-style Socialist state.”
The campaign is not limited to New York City. There are also 12 advertisement trucks running in Washington, D.C. with an identical message. Those trucks, however, are not circling outlets, but rather running their daily routes in the metro area. Six trucks are also scheduled to run in Denver, CO, and the MRC is posting billboards with its “Tell the Truth!” message in nine cities, including Pittsburgh, Little Rock, Las Vegas, Dallas, Orlando, Seattle and Milwaukee. There will also be radio and TV ads.
“We stand to be the generation that will be asked by future generations, ‘Why didn’t you stop it?’”  Bozell said to CNSNews.com. “I want to be the generation that says, ‘We returned America to her greatness. There were those who wanted to destroy this country and there were some of us who said no.’ That’s what I want.”
